1982 - 1992
Since leaving Hymers in 1992, James has worked within the media sector working as a freelance journalist from 2002 for five years then working for companies such as Corpcom and the sports magazine Fighters Only when it transitioned from being a national to an international title.
Currently, James is Head of Communications with the Foundation of Light which is the charity arm of Sunderland AFC. The charity strives to improve lives through the power of football by offering programmes impacting health, behaviour, attitude, skills, knowledge and more. They raise £4,000,000 every year for the benefit of their local community and the people within it.
