Probably the best organist to obtain a place at Kings College as an organ scholar. He was the only organist asked by David Willcocks to stay on for a further year when his term was over. A very competent musician, organist, composer and choral director, whose has led and inspired many amateur choirs. He is an Honorary Fellow of Lancaster University (after 40 years service) and chair of the Cumbrian Society of Organists.
