1998 – 2003
After leaving Hymers in 2003, Gemma studied at The University of Hull graduating with a first-class BSc (Hons) equine science degree in 2007. She soon landed herself a job at NFU mutual first as an Equine Claims handler for five years and then later a Regional Team Manager for two years. Gemma has had huge success in the equine world competitively qualifying for the Horse Of the Year Show (HOYS) 19 times and has had wins at HOYS and Olympia. She is now a Director of Welfare for the British Horse Society responsible for over 200 volunteer Welfare Officers nationwide to help equine owners improve horse welfare.
