This June 2023, Lester Bartlett will be stepping into the boxing ring to raise money for the charity, Life for a Kid. The charity was set up in March 2009 with the aim of helping children under the age of 16 by offering funds and equipment to help them lead a better life, and to also help children who require life saving or life changing operations.
Lester has been at the school since 2008, teaching students piano, organ and brass. This will be his third fight and he is still after that first victory!
My next fight is June 17th 2023 at the MKM stadium raising money for the charity Life for a Kid, which is a Hull based charity. People can contact me for tickets and/or sponsor me, should they be so kind.
I'll be fighting the opponent from my first match, again, so re-match! The first time he won (marginally!) on points so it's pay back time!
If you would like to donate to Life for a Kid, please visit Lester's Just Giving Page
Update from Lester after the fight:
So the boxing went well. I was happy to have gone the distance and the match ended in a draw. It was the second time I’ve fought this guy and we have the trilogy in November!
Lester's next fight is on 3 November to raise money for Life for a Kid again. He will be trained again by Connor Coghill, undefeated central area champion.
