In December 2023, Ben Mays, OH 1997-2007 returned to speak to our aspiring medics to talk about his career as a paramedic.

After leaving Hymers College in 2007, Ben continued his education at Leeds Beckett University, gaining a Master of Sciences degree in Sports Therapy.  During his degree, he specialised in rehabilitation and strength and conditioning.

Ben spent the next 4 years working in roles as a strength and conditioning coach before returning to university at Wolverhampton as a student paramedic.

He spoke to the students about his career since leaving Hymers, with a particular focus on his career as a paramedic.

Thank you, Ben, for coming back in person to speak to our students and offer support to them.
