We recently welcomed back (virtually), Julian Ray to the school. He was a student at Hymers College from 1979 until 1988, before going to study Medicine at University College London. Julian went on to specialise in Clinical Neurophysiology.
Now living down south, we were lucky to have Julian speak to our students via Zoom. As well as his career path, he spoke about medical problems he has had to deal with on the way, explaining some tricky diagnoses, the process they had to go through, and what the outcome was. The students learned about some valuable life experiences.
Away from work, over the last year, we have been fortunate to see Julian at alumni events and we were extremely pleased to hear how his wife had bought him a Hymers rugby shirt for Christmas!
Thank you for your support, Julian, and we look forward to seeing you again in 2024.
