Dr Lizzie Sweeting recently spoke to our aspiring medic students to give them advice about following such a career. After leaving Hymers College in 2010, she went on to study Medicine at the University of Leeds for five years, before completing a Postgraduate Certificate in Medical leadership at Lancaster University.
Lizzie joined the Improvement Academy in 2020 as a Clinical Leadership Fellow and now leads the Managing Deterioration workstream of the Patient Safety Collaborative. Within the Managing Deterioration workstream, there is a focus on improving safety of care home residents, where Lizzie uses her frontline experience as a GP Trainee to lead the team.
It has been lovely to see Lizzie again, who earlier in the year attended our Leeds Alumni Drinks Evening. Thank you for your support, Lizzie.
