Kim Wu returned to Hymers to talk to our students about his time studing Medicine. Kim attended the Senior School at Hymers from 2009 and completed his A levels in 2016. He left Hymers College with A grades in Chemistry, Biology and Maths and continued his further education at Hull York Medical School.
He spoke to the students about what life has been like at Medical School, gave them tips on learning and informed them what areas of medicine were covered in his six years. He gave a realistic insight into what awaits a student studing medicine, balancing the pros and cons, so the students would be able to make informed decisions.
Although the journey was hard at times, Kim has completed his training to become a doctor and now works on the Stroke Ward at Hull Royal Infirmary.
Thank you for allowing me to talk to the students. I had a lot of fun. I hope they enjoyed it as well.
