We were pleased to hear that Sally Lloyd (née Martin), OH 1995-2002 had recently been promoted in her role at Missoma, so we reached out to her, to find out more about her life after Hymers College.
I left Hymers in 2002 for Nottingham University where I studied for my LLB with a year abroad, studying at the University of Queensland. I stayed on to do my LPC in Nottingham, coming out with a Distinction. I then completed my solicitor training with a City law firm in London, qualifying into Commercial Disputes.
After several years working on high profile litigations, including for some celebrity clients, I moved out of private practice to in-house life. I've been working in the retail sector since 2015, having worked for River Island and now at Missoma, a London based international jewellery brand.
I was recently promoted to Head of Legal and assist with all aspects of the business, from general commercial matters to employment and HR issues. Recently our new drive to open our own bricks and mortar stores (including one in the Victoria Quarter, Leeds) has kept me busy. Watch this space for more new stores in 2025!
In my spare time I enjoy fitness classes in the park and spending time with my husband and two young children.
Sally Lloyd (née Martin), OH 1995-2002
At the end of last year, Sally kindly spoke to the school's Law Society, where she spoke to them about her career in law. Thank you, Sally, for your continued support of Hymers College.
