We were delighted to welcome back Cory Thurlow, OH 2009-14 and Izzy Kirk, OH 2006-16 and their young baby, Seb back to school this week Cory hasn't been back since leaving the school ten years ago. 

Cory went on to study medicine at the University of Cambridge and is now  is now a Foundation year one doctor, currently on rotation at Leeds General Infirmary working in Accident and Emergency.  Izzy works for Accenture in a sales and marketing role and is currently enjoying her maternity leave.

Izzy and Corey met at school and still have some great friends they made at Hymers.  They throughly enjoyed chatting to some familiar staff faces from their time here: Dr Pickles, Mrs Jackson, Miss May, Dr Pybus, Mr Gaynor Smith, Mrs Mason, Mr Walmsley, Dr Denton, Mr Sanz-Caro and Mr McTeare were all pleased to see them. They were also delighted to see their former form prefect from their senior school years, Jayke Hartley, OH 2005-2012, who is now Head of Biology at Hymers! 

Izzy and Cory are now living in Leeds and were enjoying a trip back to Hull to see their alma mater and a trip to Hull fair!

It was a pleasure to spend the afternoon with them and hear all their Hymers memories.
