We were delighted to see Jessica Duffield (OH 1995-05) and Annie Kirkman (1999-07) rehearsing for their upcoming production of 'Beverley Does Broadway at Hymers College in the Judi Dench Theatre. Along with Alice Rose Palmer, they are founding members of the theatre company, She Productions, a collective of female-identifying theatre-makers rooted in the East Riding of Yorkshire with their mission to engage, inspire, and empower intergenerational audiences through the art of drama, which is delivered via three strands of work: She Engages, She Inspires & She Empowers.
In August, they will be performing 'Beverley Does Broadway'; a musical comedy, that will transport you to the West End with a revamped version of Beverley Does Broadway. The show has been brought back due to popular demand. Alongside Jess (who is the Director), Annie and Alice, there will also be Natalie Walker, Jo Patmore and Caitlin Townend, who have worked with She Productions several times. Natalie is the Musical Director, and Jo and Caitlin are the actors.
The show is running at East Riding Theatre from Wednesday 16th until Saturday 26th August 2023, before moving to Junction at Goole from Wednesday 30th and Thursday 31st August 2023.
