Freddie crossing the finish line of the London Marathon 2022

We recently heard from Freddie, who was at Hymers College between 2009 and 2016.  He will be running in the London Marathon to raise money for the London Air Ambulance, a charity close to his heart.

The 20th July 2022 marks 3-years since I was involved in a life-threatening cycling accident in London. The London Air Ambulance are the reason my accident was ‘life-threatening’ and not 'life-ending'.

As such, on the 1st October 2022, I will be running the London Marathon in support of the London Air Ambulance. I hope that you will please consider contributing to my marathon fundraiser to help support the London Air Ambulance continue their lifesaving work (link below).

I have included some information about London's Air Ambulance below. Thanks for all your support.

The London Air Ambulance is a registered charity solely funded by donations, not the Government or NHS. They deliver an advanced trauma team to critically injured people. The service attend approx. 1,800 incidents a year but most have never heard of the Air Ambulance before. They save lives like mine daily. Please help me thank them for their services by donating. Freddie's fundraising page can be found at tcslondonmarathon.enthuse.com/pf/frederick-howard

Good luck, Freddie.

Update from Freddie after completing the marathon:

Thank you to everyone who has acknowledged the challenge I undertook in my marathon journey. It was awesome crossing the finish line in 3h 48m 07s on Sunday!!

All £2.5k of the funds raised will support the life saving work of London's Air Ambulance Charity

Thank you for donating, sharing and recognising the cause.
