OH Assemblies |
On 27th January (2025), the school marked Holocaust Memorial Day in the morning's assembly with a visit from Jacob Grantham, OH 1999-2009.
Jacob spoke to the students, not just about events of the Holocaust itself, but also about the events leading up to the Holocaust and how it was important to remember that the Holocaust didn't just happen in one day, in a vacuum. The Holocaust was the result of a campaign of demonisation and delegitimisation. Only by acknowledging and being aware of this can we guard against such things happening again.
Thank you, Jacob, for the thought provoking assembly.
