Life After Hymers |
Sarah Lucy Penny, alumna of Hymers College 2002-2012, now works in and around Hull and the East Riding as a singing teacher, freelance musician and musical director. She is part of the production team for Hessle Theatre Company, and is proud to be presenting 'Shrek the Musical' between 22nd-26th March this year (2022) - her debut as a musical director at the Hull New Theatre. Not only this, but her taking up the musical direction of HTC coincides with her father, Andrew Penny (long-serving staff member at Hymers College) finishing his time as Musical Director of fellow local musical society, the Hull Philharmonic Orchestra - a very special overlap indeed!
