Thanks to alumnus, Martin Fowlie who zoomed in to speak to our 6th form Biology Society in November.

Included in his presentation he shared with us a picture of his former self in the 1990's that some of you may be more familiar with!

Martin shared with the group his career journey post-Hymers and the path he took using his Biology A-Level. He left Hymers and studied Zoology at Sheffield, followed by a PHD in Ecology in Glasgow and a Postdoctoral Research Associate at Cambridge. He gave a very informative and interesting talk around his work since then and our Year 12 's thoroughly enjoyed hearing from him.

Thanks, Martin. It was great to hear from you and please keep in touch.
