Life After Hymers |
Lena returned to school for her first visit since leaving in 1998 and she thoroughly enjoyed meeting with some familiar faces and shared her fond memories with us all.
Lena is a writer, a poet, a mindfulness and yoga coach and a languages teacher. She lived in France and Spain during her early career before moving to London. Lena is passionate about using her poetry, writing and unique coaching style to empower others to discover their own impetus to create a more fulfilling life for themselves. Lena has just written her first book of which she kindly gifted to the school.
“Impetus” is a uniquely designed, thought-provoking and healing memoir. The poems, prose, illustrations and vibrant colour musings both soothe and ignite the reader’s soul. Appealing to a wide audience, Lena’s poetry reflects a journey through despair, oppression and breaking boundaries to finding the joy and freedom that lies within each of us. A tribute to some of the greatest world philosophers, artists and poets, such as William Blake, Rumi, John O’Donohue and David Whyte is also shared through a scattering of inspirational quotes and prose throughout.
