Geoffrey Leaf, OH 1947-53, left Hymers College to study for a BSc in Physics and Maths at the Technical College in Park Street. Geoff went on to become a weather forecaster at the Meteorological Office, both at home and abroad, and also taught at the Meteorological Office Training School near Reading. He presented forecasts on both TV and radio.
He leaves behind his wife Jean, a former Physics Lab Technician at Hymers, and two sons.
