Paul Harrison, OH 1963 - 1970

It is with great sadness that Paul Harrison’s family shares the news of Paul’s passing on 9th October 2023. Born and raised in Hull, Paul attended Hymers College from 1963 to 1970, before leaving to train at Hamble College of Air Training. Paul graduated from Hamble to become a pilot for British Airways, where he worked in what he felt to be ‘the best job in the world’ until his retirement in 2018. Paul passed after a five-year-long battle with cancer – a difficult fight, but one he faced with consistent positivity, good humour, selflessness in caring for his family and friends, and, as he described it, ‘a philosophical approach to grappling with one’s own mortality’. He is survived by his wife Julia, daughter Amy, son-in-law Dylan, and sister Kim.
