On Wednesday 15 May (2024) we welcomed our former alumni back to the school for our annual May lunch.  With the warmer weather starting (finally), we enjoyed drinks and a buffet in The Gore.

It was lovely to see many of the regular faces, such as Dick Paden, OH 1949-59, Ed Clark, OH 1950-58, Allan Craig, OH 1945-1954 and Chris Dawson, OH 1950-57, along with some of our younger alumni, Duncan Hider, OH 1983-93, Alison Hopper (née Bingham), OH 1984-87 and Paul Callis, OH 1987-94.

We also welcomed back to the school some of our former teachers.  Former Head of the Junior School, Peter Bingham, OH Staff 1984-95 attended, along with Senior Mistress and English teacher, Mary Chorlton, OH Staff 1987-2006, and Music teachers, Andrew Penny, OH Staff 1977-2022 and Marion Riley, OH Staff 1996-2022.

Headmaster, Justin Stanley welcomed the guests, before the Year 12 History students spoke to the guests about their recent visit to Washington DC in the Easter holidays.  Later at the lunch, providing a musical interlude, Michael from Year 12 played Bach on the 'cello and Felipe from Year 8 played Grieg on the piano.  The guests thoroughly enjoyed the music as they tucked into their desserts.

We also said farewell to departing team member of the Development Office, Jen Richardson, who will be shortly leaving the team for pastures new.  She started in October 2021 and will be sadly missed at our future events.
