Wednesday 17 May saw the Development Office hold its last lunch of the academic year in The Gore. As well as the regular faces, we were again joined by some former staff. Everyone enjoyed the buffet style lunch and good conversations were had.
It was lovely to see Mary Chorlton and Elizabeth Powell (Modern Languages) again, along with former teachers Ian Nicholls, Andrew Penny, Peter Roberts, and Richard Axford, former Assistant Bursar.
Lester Bartlett also popped by to play the School Song, which provided the opportunity for some singing. He was joined by current Year 9 students, Amy and Ann, who played a Piano Duet of Offenbach's "Can Can!".

Many thanks for a most entertaining lunchtime . The food was not destined to be eaten by those intent on losing weight but was wonderfully fresh and tasty. I started off with chicken and salad but soon gave in to some very well made sausage rolls. The rocky road for afters went down well also.
It was good to see you yesterday at the lunch. Thank you and your colleagues for organising this successful event.
A big thank you to you and all your colleagues for the excellent OH Alumni Lunch which you organised today. I thoroughly enjoyed all aspects of the event, and am already looking forward to the next occasion!
Thank you for inviting me. I thoroughly enjoyed talking to people and hearing more stories of Hymers. Equally it was lovely to see retired members of staff looking so well and enjoying themselves.
It was nice to see you again today, thanks for helping to organise another lovely event…
Many thanks to you and your team for organising today - really enjoyed it. Much appreciated!
Thanks to you all for all your hard work in organising yesterday’s lunch. Again, I felt that it was a happy gathering.
As always, it was a very enjoyable occasion, beautifully organised! I look forward to the next meeting in September.
