We are delighted to be able to invite members of the Hymers Community to come together to form the Hymers College Chorus for the upcoming Senior Concert.

The Hymers College Chorus is a choir for members of the Hymers Community, including Old Hymerians, parents, teachers and friends. Hymers College Chorus is open to anyone who has a love of singing and would like to be involved in concerts and events as part of the College calendar.

The first event for the Chorus will be performing Vivaldi’s Gloria in the Senior Concert on Thursday 23rd March. The performance will involve the Hymers College Chorus combining with the Senior Chamber Choir, Senior Orchestra and visiting Music staff to sing one of sacred music’s most uplifting choral works.

If you would like to join us, then the rehearsals are on the following dates:

  • Tuesday 21st February 2023
  • Tuesday 28th February 2023
  • Tuesday 7th March 2023
  • Tuesday 14th March 2023
  • Tuesday 21st March 2023 – Final Rehearsal – Main Hall
  • Thursday 23rd March 2023 - Performance

Rehearsals take place in The Rutter Room, which is situated in the Music Department, between 6.30pm and 8.30pm and refreshments are provided. Singers are not required to attend all rehearsals, but will need to attend enough to allow them to be comfortable with performing the music.

If you would like to take part in the event, please fill in the Google Form here to confirm your place and to receive information regarding rehearsals and performances.
