Thursday 26 January 2023 saw The Development Office hold its first event of the year. The January lunch was well attended with a mix of former students from different decades, as well as past and current teachers. We are always pleased to see our regular faces attend but it was also wonderful to see many new alumni attend the lunch.
Former Junior School Headmaster, Paul Bryan attended and caught up with past students, including Will Heylings and Sam Tasker. Former Head of Biology in the Senior School, Peter Roberts also attended his first lunch since retiring in 2020.
From the current teaching staff body, Rob Wright (Deputy Head Management), Steve Walmsley (Director of Sport), Gordon Prescott (Head of Chemistry), and Helen Robinson (History Department) also joined the lunch with Headmaster Justin Stanley.
Now becoming a regular feature of the lunches, Lester Bartlett popped by to play the School Song (written by the first Headmaster Charles Gore), which gave rise to a splendid singsong.
Everyone enjoyed the afternoon, with delicious food from the Catering Department and good company, with many stories being told.
