Hymers College was established under the will of Reverend John Hymers as a school "for the training of intelligence in whatever social rank of life it may be found" and since opening in 1893 it has remained true to his wishes. Hymers College is not just a school for bright and wealthy children. We want to be able to give families choices, create futures and recognise potential across all sections of our society. There is no difference in student status or treatment, everyone here benefits from a shining future with dedicated teachers, coaches and pastoral care to enable all to thrive.
Our vision is to expand access to Hymers as much as possible by focusing on sharing the opportunities that others were given before. A fundamental aim of the Development Office is to provide a thriving network for the whole Old Hymerians community to support our students with their career aspirations. To ensure our school continues to flourish for future generations, we have ambitions plans to invest in people and facilities through our fundraising efforts.
